Re-claim the Citizen Role in the Political Ecosystem
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
Project 2026 is inspired by the belief that We the People Can do better. Project 2026 responds to a troubling array of problems facing our nation’s political system. By focusing on the vision that animated our founders and has energized Americans to achieve greatness. Project 2026 is the recognition and exploration of the role of the citizen within the political ecosystem. It studies the nature of the citizen rights, responsibilities and the influences that make the modern citizen. Additionally, leveraging an understanding of the complexity of the body politic, Project 2026 provides a framework for engagement with relevant stakeholders.

The Vision
Start with the vision Vision is the most vital step in the policy process. If we don’t know where we want to go, it makes little difference that we make great progress. Yet vision is not only missing almost entirely from policy discussions; it is missing from our whole culture. We talk about our fears, frustrations, and doubts endlessly, but we talk only rarely and with embarrassment about our dreams.

As Americans we share a vision however we have lost our role as citizens in achieving it.
Our Vision
Healthy individuals in healthy communities engaged with a responsive political system dedicated to securing the right of all people to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
By November 2028 every American has the opportunity to:

Our Mission
We are committed to provide a framework and tools to leverage technology and scientific insights, embrace crowdsourcing in the service of democracy, and pursues other collaborative activities to address challenges in our society and achieve a strong, healthy political system serving free and enlightened citizens. More specifically:

The information and ability to make informed choices as they engage in the civic life of their nation and their communities.

The confidence that their voices can be the primary influence shaping the outcomes of policy debates.

The faith that their government has the ability to solve important problems despite deep differences of opinion.

The ability to leverage technology and wield other tools to engage with their government in a fair and just way.

The competence to recognize citizens and organizations that are similarly committed to the ideals of our vision.

And most importantly, a deep appreciation of the blessings bestowed on us as individuals through the formation of the first government by consent of the governed. This entails a responsibility to protect the constitutional concept for future generations.

In order to actively participate in our politics, locally, state and nationally (Globally) we need to be informed about our representatives and other government officials. My Political Ecosystem provides easy access to your specific ecosystem from local to national as well at the tools to actively participate in our democracy. In addition, most western societies measure Gross Domestic Product a measure of productivity of the national economy. What is not measured is the well being of the people. United States 6.0 will use indicators to monitor wellbeing in addition to GDP and develop to reliable capture that information.

Provide a Format for Citizen Engagement We use the structure and process of the Case Presentation as a framework for deliberative dialogue to address civic challenges.

Our Format
The Medical Case Presentation is an essential framework for a focused disciplined approach to addressing medical problems. Healthcare professionals use the Medical Case Presentation to identify, analyze, develop, implement and monitor a solution based “treatment plan” for medical problems. When used effectively, it allows healthcare professionals to communicate and share information among varied clinical disciplines to develop testable hypotheses for simple and complex problems.
The framework allows for clearly identifying problems and providing objective data to support the diagnosis and “treatment plan.” The Medical Case Presentation is uniquely positioned to address systematic changes over time. Through progress notes addressing specific problems, we’ll be able to adapt to new issues to clearly identify problems and potential solutions.
Provide Data and Indicators Having an agreed upon base of data, or a way to challenge the data, will elevate the discussion to a more productive level, a more deliberative conversation built on respect rather than fear and that allows for problem solving.

It is crucial for decision making to have relevant, accessible, reliable and timely information. We will seek to provide information where available and to seek to create a political process to develop the needed data sources for public use.
Data is crucial for an objective presentation of a problem, not just to help the diagnosis, but also to decide on a course of treatment and monitor results.
Current political decision making and government performance suffers from information asymmetry. The challenge with data is to agree upon what is important and relevant. Data is not an opinion; it is usually reproducible and verifiable. Data is a tool for more informed decision making about, not a decision itself. The challenge is to present the information in a simplified manner that allows for utilization into the decision making.

The COVID-19 Citizen Commission Version 1.0 and Medical Case Presentation are frameworks for a citizen-oriented approach to engage with the challenges facing us in the body politic of the United States. Using the medical case presentation as an organizing structure, the COVID-19 Pandemic Citizen Commission offers a dynamic, interactive, collaborative process that engages our fellow citizens to address the biological, social, financial challenges confronting us as individuals, members of our community and citizens of the nation and the world. It provides a vehicle for citizens to collaborate, identify, analyze, develop, implement and monitor a solution based “treatment plan” for medical problems.
The Pain Opioid Epidemic Case Presentation
The Pain Opioid Epidemic Project and Case Presentation recognize that a multi-stakeholder, comprehensive public health approach to combating the nation’s prescription opioid abuse and growing heroin epidemic is crucial. It is our belief that it is up to all of us to prevent and reduce abuse, misuse, overdose and death from prescription drugs.
Cancer of the US Political System
The Cancer of American Politics Case Presentation builds on the understanding of the biologic cancer process and current treatment approaches as a framework to address the political cancer that has developed in our body politic. It is our goal to create a more deliberative, respectable solutions-oriented process inspired by hope and built on compromise that serves the general public.
The Case of the US Healthcare System
The treatment plan of the Medical Case Presentation offers a multistage action plan divided into immediate, short and long term actions for addressing the challenges of the US healthcare system. The treatment plan format allows us to engage in a healthy deliberative political process toward our vision:
