WELCOME
Project 2026 is an ambitious, multi-year experiment with a bold proposition: everyday citizens can and should actively shape our democracy. Anchored in the ideals of the Declaration of Independence, this initiative offers frameworks, tools, and events to help individuals engage effectively with government. The goal is straightforward but transformative: to ensure that the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—envisioned 250 years ago—is fully realized through an active, empowered citizenry. By embracing new technologies and crowd-based solutions, Project 2026 aims to revitalize democracy and enable all Americans to flourish.
Why Now?
The United States has not yet fully lived up to the founding promise that all people are created equal and endowed with the unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Today, we face widening inequality, political polarization, declining trust in institutions, and a sense of powerlessness that leaves many Americans feeling alienated from public life.
Yet the simple truth remains: citizens are not born—they are made.
And the purpose of government, at its best, is to allow people to thrive.
